A field report by Sina Braunmüller, master dental technician from Augsburg
I have been working in dental technology for many years in various laboratories. Four years ago, I decided to become a master dental technician, which was sometimes a very rocky road for me.
Interview on "FOKALDRY in dental technology
How did you hear about FOKALDRY and lege artis Pharma?
BRAUNMÜLLER: I had been looking for a product that quickly degreases, cleans and sanitizes for a specific work process for a long time. In fact, I first came across the solution and the dental manufacturer from Dettenhausen through a sales representative.
When do you use FOKALDRY specifically in the laboratory? BRAUNMÜLLER: I used FOKALDRY especially for cleaning telescopic crowns made of zirconium. You need a grease and dust-free surface on the telescopic crowns in order to be able to apply the varnish for the electroplating copings. Since we have been using FOKALDRY in our laboratory, I have discovered many other possible applications.
What advantage do you have with FOKALDRY?
BRAUNMÜLLER: I have a perfectly cleaned and degreased surface. The great thing about FOKALDRY is that it evaporates very quickly and leaves no residue.
How does FOKALDRY make your day-to-day work easier?
BRAUNMÜLLER: Working with FOKALDRY is quick and easy, it’s one step with one solution. Without long drying times.
What risks or damage can occur if a surface has not been sufficiently degreased and cleaned? BRAUNMÜLLER: That would of course be the worst case scenario. In the best case scenario, it is discovered before applying the coating for the electroplating caps. Otherwise, there is a speck of dust on the surface and the electroplating cap does not flow out during electroplating and you can start all over again.
What is special about FOKALDRY?
BRAUNMÜLLER: I think FOKALDRY best describes fast, clean and simple work.
