The proven and modern method of caries
prophylaxis. Fluorides are deposited
in the tooth structure thereby hardening the
tooth and increasing its resistance.
Fluorides are administrated either
orally |
in the form of tablets |
by using fluorinated table salt |
or locally e.g. |
with fluoride varnish |
by using fluoride containing toothpastes |
As an overdose of fluorides is possible,
the instructions for use should always be
strictly observed.
